The company:
The company is a Global Food organisation with an outstanding reputation looking to build and maintain its taskforce for the future. The company is at the forefront of consumer innovation and due to the expansion and growth throughout the business, the company is now looking to appoint a Category Manager to help develop and deliver category strategies, tactics and execute plans.
The Role:
- Ability to analyse sales and market data to gain in depth understanding of the Foodservice market; category, segments, customers, competitors and performance
- Work with CSMs to outline fiscal activity and drive JBP’s to deliver product/NPD listings
- Work with Business Unit Controller and line manager to identify and drive strategic plans by segment (profit and cost)
- Build relationships with customers’ marketing and brand departments to jointly execute insight plans
- Develop tools to enable Nationals team to recognise insights and execute against strategies
- Create bespoke category presentations and present to customers
- Lead bespoke customer NPD projects
- Educated to degree level or equivalent– Essential
- Experience of working within category management at a similar level - Desirable
- Experience of working in Retail or Foodservice industry - Desirable
