Job Details
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Innovation Controller to join a major FMCG business to lead the strategy and plan development for Innovation across the UK. You'll be responsible for the development of NPD initiatives making up a significant percentage of the RSV of the given category. Exciting, fast paced business with big ambitions, big brands and a growing international presence. Well suited to an entrepreneurial mind-set with strong classic FMCG grounding. Very accessible from central London - less than 30 minutes train journey. Perm and interim options available.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Work with category and insight team to develop category innovation strategy and from this the innovation platforms.
- Understand leading technologies in the category, available globally and bring these into the business, where appropriate.
- Develop insights which drive concept platforms which create the opportunity areas for future initiatives.
- Develop a funnel of qualified activities, equating to a target 20% total category turnover annualised.
- Develop a pipe-line of initiatives in-year and for next 2 years.
- Deliver successful initiatives, which hit gate 3 expectations and deliver against key KPIs.
- Work with multi-functional team to deliver projects through to start of ship.
Minimum Requirements
- Senior level innovation experience, encompassing all levels from strategic pipeline development to in market delivery.
- A proven track record of bringing innovation to action which build sales, define strategy and shape organisations.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and desire to continuous look for new ideas and ways of working as well as embedding them into a team.
- High knowledge of latest methodologies and ability to define and deliver best practice
