Sainsbury’s National Account Manager – Chilled / Ambient Food

Up to £60,000 + car + benefits
A brilliant opportunity has arisen with a market leading food business that currently turn over in excess of £200M. They have a fantastic range of private label products, as well as a small portfolio of premium brands. As a business, they put time and effort into sourcing the best quality products from across the globe, and work closely with farmers and suppliers to ensure they are receiving the best. With over 80 production sites internationally they are a real power force in this category, the constant innovation and NPD makes them stay ahead of the competition.
Reporting into the Business Unit Manager, you will have full P&L responsibility for 2 core products that are sold into Sainsbury’s, with sole supply of a large category. With a strong relationship already in situ there is a lot of potential to grow the account even further. You will be operating cross functionally within the business across category, NPD and technical, and spend around 2 days a week in JS.
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, it is essential you have experience of working within FMCG, ideally a short shelf life product. Sainsbury’s experience is highly desired, however other top 4 grocer experience would be considered. You will need to possess an entrepreneurial flair and be able to work cross functionally. This is a critical role for the business that will need someone that can do more than selling. You will be constantly reviewing the range on ways to improve and develop. This is a really exciting role that has lots of progression on offer and you will also have the chance to manage a team moving forward.
