National Key Account Manager required for a stand-alone country representative position based in the London area.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial sales professional to join and international food company looking to expand their UK presence. As National Key Account Manager, you would be the company's UK representative and have responsibility for developing the customer base in the UK's food wholesale sector.
With a Head Office in Switzerland and two manufacturing sites in Europe this business exports its frozen food products across the EU. Within the UK it has already established a small customer base and is now looking to move on to the next level with this appointment. Products include frozen ready meals, pasta, vegetables and other retail products such as pizza, salads and sandwiches.
The National Key Account Manager will report directly to the International Head of Sales for Foodservice and be supported by a central team of marketing, sales and product management professionals. The main objective of the role is to acquire new customers within the wholesale sector with end users being restaurant and pub groups. You will support existing customers and be responsible for commercial negotiations with new businesses. Observing and analysing trends in the market you will feedback to Head Office with ideas on sales strategy. As the company grows you will be charged with recruiting new team members to build and independent UK sales team.
For this role we are looking for someone with experience of sales within the food sector and the following attributes:
- Ability to present product concepts
- Market knowledge of the UK - trade, competitors, consumers
- Good relationship management skills
- Entrepreneurial and a self-starter
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent at negotiating with a high level of commercial acumen
