We are pleased to announce that a new role has just become available for leading wholesaler within the gifting/home accessories industry. This company is renowned for their seasonal ranges and are now looking to bring in a highly ambitious and determined Area Sales Manager to look after their territory in the North of England.
Established over 15 years ago, this company has quickly become very well known within the industry and has become a firm favourite across many retailers in the UK. The company is now looking to push themselves going into the second half of the year, and want to bring someone on board that can help them achieve those goals and targets for 2018.
You would be coming into the business and inheriting a wealth of existing accounts on the territory and you will be required to maximise the sales potential but also have a large focus on new business elements. To do this you will need to have a proactive attitude to approaching new potential businesses, which will predominantly be local gift stores, garden centres and some larger retailers.
To be considered for this position, you must be able to provide evidence of your ability to build a territory and show that you have a great track record of working in a sales environment. Also, experience with key accounts would be ideal and beneficial to you in order to work the territory effectively. Other requirements for the right candidate are:
- Knowledge and experience of the Giftware industry
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Strong ability to develop new business
- Availability for extensive travel within the territory
- Outstanding relationship building skills
- Autonomous working nature
- Enthusiastic, charismatic and positive attitude
