National Account Manager – Grocery (Craft Spirits)
Salary - £50,000 - £55,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
Home Based – 2 days a week Midlands
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing premium craft gin brands. Each and every one of their products is lovingly distilled in small batches using the finest ingredients, a number of which are home grown in their own botanical garden! The business is gaining tremendous momentum and now has national listings with top retailers including Waitrose, M&S and Majestic. They are now looking to recruit a talented National Account Manager to help drive further growth in the Off-Trade channel.
As National Account Manager you will have full P&L responsibility for c. £7m across the Off-Trade channel. Your initial account portfolio will consist of Waitrose, M&S and Majestic and you will be heavily involved with writing the sales strategy alongside the Sales Director. Implementing strong JBPs and commercial agreements with these customers to grow business and secure new listings will be a core focus of this role. The business has ambitions to break into other key Top 4 Grocery customers including Tesco and Sainsbury’s so you will also work to develop these relationships.
To be considered for this opportunity it is essential that you have experience as a National Account Manager within the drinks industry. Those who have worked in the premium spirits sector and have a detailed understanding of this category will be at a distinct advantage. It is also important that you have dealt with top tier grocery customers including the likes of Waitrose, M&S, Majestic, Tesco and Sainsbury’s. Due to the entrepreneurial nature of this business it is important that you are comfortable working in an autonomous fashion and are happy to take a hands-on approach to the role.
