The Role of General Manager:

From an office / warehouse facility in Leeds you will have full control of the operation – seeking to maximise profits through sales growth, operational efficiency and cost-control measures. This will include:

  • Develop and execute a sales and marketing strategy through a field based sales team
  • Build effective relationships with key customers and suppliers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Lead the buying and operational teams to achieve product range extensions; procurement and pricing advantages; promotional activity and distribution efficiencies

The General Manager Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a highly energetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is keen to build a business and lead a team. Sales led but with broad skills you will be able to add value in all areas.

  • Based in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Sheffield, York or Huddersfield
  • General Management experience in a consumer goods business
  • Successful leadership experience in both sales and operations
  • Highly commercial and focused on profits not sales
  • A proven track record of delivering business growth
  • Excellent written and face to face communication skills
