This is a massive opportunity for an events professional to join a business that has won thousands of awards for its wine, whilst actively supporting important charity and industry events around the world. Despite being a global brand, Barefoot still holds its founding values close to heart and strongly believe in word of mouth advertisement and getting out there to let their product speak for itself, whilst supporting great causes. As a Barefooter you will be the face of the brand to consumers and therefore an integral part of the marketing team and the company as a whole. They believe that wine should be more fun and less serious, and that their product is for everyone (of legal drinking age of course!). They are therefore looking for a candidate who can relate and effectively communicate with people from all walks of life. This is an autonomous role where you will be left to plan your own schedule and prioritise events which you feel the brand should support. This is more than just educating new and current consumers on the Barefoot brand, but a chance to make a difference to the community. Another large part of the role is absorbing all of the consumer feedback and/or performing a mental SWOT analysis whilst attending events, and reporting back insights and potential solutions to the marketing team. This means that not only do you have to be fantastically events savvy, organised, and a big personality, but also analytical and a strong communicator.

As a successful candidate you will have a minimum of 1 year event management experience. A background in drinks is ideal though not required, although an interest of wine would be required. Being the right culture fit is very important, as the successful candidate has to embody and represent the brand. They are looking for someone who is the life of the party, someone who lights up a room when they are in it, but also who will also ensure everything runs smoothly at events and take an entrepreneurial approach with the role. This role requires someone who will be more than happy to work evenings and weekends, as most events occur during that time. Some travel throughout the UK will also be required, however the role is very London-centric. The successful candidate will get to attend loads of exciting events, but a big part of the role includes the not so glamorous behind the scenes activities such as carrying boxes of wine and assembling and dissembling gazebos! There will also be some people management required as the Events Manager will be responsible for briefing outside agency staff on what is expected of them at events and how to represent the brand properly as well.
