CUSTOMER DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – Food Service (Drinks Industry)
Up to c. £43k + bonus, company car and benefits
Location: Home based

The Company

An opportunity to give your career the best possible boost and be part of a fantastic organisation selling great brands in a hugely supportive environment with future career development prospects.

Our client is a highly successful division of a major FMCG family owned company operating across a number of diverse categories. Their brands have a fantastic presence across the soft and alcoholic drinks categories and the business has really exciting future growth plans for both existing and new brands, supported by significant marketing investment.

The Role

They are now seeking a Customer Development Manager to take on responsibility for key strategic customers in their foodservice channel, including Compass Group, CH&Co and Sodexo. There will also be a focus on new business, using your extensive contacts to target other areas across the HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants and cafes) channel. Key responsibilities will include developing collaborative customer relationships, winning distribution gains, delivering NPD execution, submitting tenders, negotiating and implementing JBPs and delivery of value, volume and profit targets.

About You

Of graduate calibre, you’ll possess strong foodservice experience and have built a strong network with contract caterers and foodservice contacts. Drinks experience is preferred but not essential. This role requires a highly motivated, self-starter with excellent communicative skills, strong commercial acumen, a hands on approach and an individual who is just as skilled at “hunting” for new business across the foodservice channel as they are “farming” existing customers. You will need to demonstrate plenty of passion, energy and enthusiasm to be seriously considered.

If you think you’ve got what it takes and are ultimately keen to develop a career with a leading, growing FMCG company, then please apply below or email your CV to Maria Murphy at mariam@smithcarey.co.uk quoting reference number MM/1984.

Closing date for applications: 14th June 2018
