Role: Procurement Manager
Salary: circa £60,000pa plus a highly competitive package
Location: Lincolnshire
Our client is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of added value food products that can be found in a number of the UK's leading retailers.
After a period of sustained growth, the company is now seeking an experienced and driven Procurement Manager to help continue the growth.
Reporting into the Head of Procurement this role will be tasked with managing the procurement of a diverse range of ingredients and raw materials from around the globe, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers throughout, developing new sources and delivering for the customers on time and in full.
Responsibilities:
*Delivery of a successful all year round procurement programme
*Agree programmes with key suppliers
*Carry out reviews of actual vs. programme and analyse performance of supplier base
*Identify opportunities for new programme creation alongside the commercial team
*Liaise with suppliers on shipping programmes and seasonal issues, monitoring program vs. actual
*Lead relevant documentation and due diligence is in place prior to arrival
*Full control and analysis of the supply chain, management of procurement budget
*Construction of costings including; Packing costs, Returns, Packaging Formats and analysis
*Management and development of team
*Responsible for price negotiations and price structures with suppliers.
Experience and Attributes
*CIPS qualified or working towards would be advantageous
*Proven experience of Procurement of food manufacturing materials and ingredients
*Strong ability to negotiate. Key diplomacy and communication skills
*Conveys credibility, confidence and gravitas
*Results driven attitude, combined with the ability to motivate and develop others
*High attention to detail, with strong organisational skills
*Strong problem solving and analytical skills
*Previous experience of team leadership
*Background in working alongside Commercial and Technical Teams within a Food Manufacturing environment
*Strong understanding of logistics and global supply chains
*Excellent approach to team work, supporting other areas of the business and working under own initiative
