Caterers Choice is a leading importer and trader of canned goods and ambient products into the UK market for foodservice, manufacturing and retail and their head office is in West Yorkshire. Caterers Choice offers a diverse portfolio that covers key commodity areas in canned food which they source from a worldwide supply base.

Due to their continued growth they are now seeking a highly competent Shipping Controller who is experienced in dealing with a worldwide supply base preferably with a background in Ocean Shipping but at a minimum, a background in logistics. The ideal candidate will have been used to the moving of containers of goods, have experience of dealing with shipping agents and customs clearance, be familiar with commodity codes and used to shipping documentation. They will be analytical, well-organized and have experience working in a fast paced environment. They must be comfortable with paperwork and information systems and have great knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures. Excellent Excel skills are essential for this role. This position will liaise with the Purchasing, Demand Planning and Sales Office Teams so the ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills. The candidate must be highly organised as they will be responsible for updating company critical reports.  They will be able to work well within a team whilst managing their individual tasks to plan.
