Role: Senior Commercial Manager/Sales Controller –Top Tier Retail (Chilled Foods)

Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 Basic, Bonus/Package

Location: Yorkshire/North Lincolnshire

Part of a major international food group, our client is a leading supplier of chilled foods to UK Retailers. Heavily customer focused, their partnerships include some of the most recognised and respected Top Tier Retailers. The company has a strong position in its category offering a total solution to its customers and is held in high regard by both its competitors, customers and consumers.

A desire to further strengthen and support one of its key customer relationships has led to the need to recruit a Senior National Account Manager/Sales Controller to work with a portfolio of accounts, including partnership Retail customer. Our client is the category leading supplier and drives the agenda for this important chilled food area.

Working in partnership with this key client you will drive customer retailer strategy. Developing and implementing joint category plans. While establishing cross functional business relationships across external retailer teams.

Reporting the Sales & Marketing Director you will deliver an annual business plan focused on achieving set business objectives. Working collaboratively with other functions taking a hands on approach and providing support where required outside core functional responsibilities. With the end goal being the development and implementation of the 3 – 5 year business and category plan.

A thorough understanding of the chilled foods category landscape, coupled with good knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of competitors. With a working knowledge of the category marketing and consumer insight disciplines you will work closely with the category marketing team to create compelling category insights and actions, with a category leading approach.

With a minimum 5 years’ experience in a Commercial or Category Management role, ideally managing relationships with one of the big four retailers. You will be ambitious, motivated and keen to find a vehicle for your own career aspirations.
