Job Title: Commercial Manager – Category Manager – Buyer
£50,000 to £60,000 + Car + Bonus + Executive benefits
Based Kingston with International travel
The Company:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a successful and growing pharmaceutical and Health Care business. The company’s retail outlets stock an extensive range of branded and own label products which are purchased from a number of International suppliers.
The Opportunity:
This Strategy Category position involves developing the Category offering across both branded and own label ranges that will enhance our relationship with our customers. Working with EU and UK based suppliers and manufactures you will shape the Category strategy by working closely with purchasing, logistics and internal category teams
Responsibilities
Develop the long Category offering, including new products and ranges
Work closely with manufacturers within Healthcare and Health and Beauty sectors
Decisions backed up by using a range of data sources, data tools, and IT, Software,
Working closely with supply chain, trading and replenishment to minimise risk and maximise opportunities.
Develop a rounded business approach with an understanding of the need for internal and external customer focus.
Work closely the Head of Strategy - Category and be confident deputising at a senior level
Ideal Candidate
A background in Category Management – Buying – Strategy
Good understanding of retail dynamics
A high level of commercial skills
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
An ability to work with people at all levels both internal and external
Will have the potential to progress
