One of our most prestigious and illustrious clients to date is currently looking for a highly knowledgeable and experienced Commercial Director to join their market leading, rapidly growing company. This leading fashion focused company boasts inspiring growth year on year and have created a highly ambitious plan for expanding worldwide in order to grow the business according to their vision. The company already spans across 50 countries worldwide and supplies over 500 stockists of their unique and product range but for them, the sky is the limit.

As the Commercial Director, you will oversee the sales team which will consist of 5 Business Development Managers out in the field, an International salesperson, Sales Support, Visual Merchandisers, a Trade Customer Service Manager and the Head of Ecommerce. So a history of people management is required to undertake this role effectively.

You will also have ownership of the Global strategy for the business and ensure the goals that are set at board level are realistic, achievable, well planned, and then implemented efficiently and successfully. You will be responsible for the P+L for all regions and platforms and you will expected to develop and execute the strategic plan to achieve your sales targets. A key part of this role will be the ability to collaborate and coordinate with different functions within the business, this will enable the business (and yourself) to maximise efficiency and effectiveness. Another integral part of the role will be to understand the requirements of the company’s customers, and making sure they feel important, valued and are seen as a key extension of the brand.

The right candidate for this role will need to have proven experience of working at director level, and should be able to prove their abilities in managing relationships with key accounts within sales and/or marketing. Some other skills you will need to possess include:

  • In-depth knowledge of market research methods and analysis
  • Experience within the fashion industry
  • Understanding of performance reporting and financial processes
  • Commercial awareness and strategic mind-set
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Highly tuned communication and interpersonal skills
