Your new role
As a key member of the Buying team, you will play a crucial role in sourcing the best products for their portfolio of stores across the UK, in a business where customers are at the heart of everything they do. You will be responsible for developing and managing the category plans and promotional activity to in order to optimise margin and maximise sales. You will work closely with other Buyers and the Marketing team, continuously looking for new and innovative products and services to maintain a varied range to meet customer requirements. You will also be responsible for the delivery and execution of the annual promotion plans, including pricing strategy.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a skilled and conscientious individual with previous retail buying, trading or category management experience both instore and online, within the multiple retail sector. You will have a proven track record in meeting and exceeding, sales, profitability and category targets. It is important for this role that you can effectively utilise market data to drive decision making for product development, ranging and pricing decisions. You should also be quite comfortable engaging with senior managers and suppliers, and be a strong communicator and influencer with good analytical and data manipulation skills.
