The role:

Reporting directly to the sales director, the successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing the business’ presence within a given territory. Our client operates largely within the traditional retail environment, as well as e-commerce. To reach and exceed targets in this role, relationship building is key. This is a fast-paced, high intensity sales role with huge earning potential, along with long term career progression opportunities. This role would involve working both in the office and out in the field, meeting with customers and clients as the “face” of the company. This is an extremely autonomous role, with the successful Business Development Manager accountable for all of their own successes.

The person:

  • Educated to degree level from a well-respected university
  • Commercially aware, with 1-2 years’ experience in B2B sales
  • Strong influencer with good negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisation and a keen eye for detail
  • Confident, can-do attitude
  • Existing contacts within the retail industry are desirable
  • Passionate and presentable
