My client is a well-recognised branded business within the retail and trade industry providing an extensive range of bathroom accessories. The company’s product portfolio extends to well over 1,500 lines and enjoys wide consumer exposure within Blue Chip DIY, Grocery, High St, Department stores & online.

Due to growth within the digital / on-line marketplace, the business is in a position to add a Commercial Manager to their team, who is capable of delivering considerable sales growth in this area. The role also requires regular customer visits, including some international travel in order to develop both existing account expansion and new account acquisition.

The ideal candidate would be bright and enterprising, possess a strong commercial background, be sales driven and have previous experience of managing large account relationships. Experience of managing accounts within the online channel such as Amazon, Wayfair, Very & Victoria Plum would be an advantage, along with experience of managing international online accounts. Key to success in this role will be the ability to identify and deliver incremental sales opportunities and collaborate closely with sales and marketing colleagues to avoid conflicts with existing distribution channels.

  • PC literate with an analytic, considered approach to sales development
  • A detailed and methodical work ethic
  • Excellent sales and communication skills, the ability to build lasting relationships
  • An inclusive, collaborative approach with internal colleagues and departments
  • Experience of account management and extensive customer communication
  • Strong and expressive presentation skills
  • Non-food consumer goods experience, ideally DIY or closely related
  • Proven track record of opening and growing online accounts
