International commercial team is responsible for sales and marketing of all Nichols brands and products outside the UK. There are two commercial teams in this route market: Africa, India & S. America; Europe, N. America, Middle East, Asia Pacific. The international route to market has combined targets and aspirations across both commercial teams as well as individual regional strategies. The international route to market delivers an important and growing proportion of the overall revenue and PBT of Nichols PLC. Europe and N. America are important pillars in the regional strategic growth plan. We have a diverse customer base across these areas with a focus towards the ethnic channel via our long term distribution partners but with sights on the mainstream opportunities. The business model is also diverse with supply chain comprising a combination of local production, export from our UK and European contract packers as well as product sourcing from other licensees. 

Your job will include:

  • Managing a range of markets
  • Full P&L accountability down to regional PBT
  • Budgeting and strategic planning
  • Leading and executing the regional double digit growth strategy
  • Developing and building relationships with key existing partners
  • Consolidation and optimisation of existing partners
  • Driving efficient operational excellence
  • Strategic new market entry
  • Strategic new product development
  • Increasing product offering from existing portfolio
  • Accurate forecasting of sales
  • Liaising with supply chain and other enabling functions to deliver customer excellence
  • Monthly reporting of initiatives, challenges, opportunities and risks for inclusion in the management report
  • Providing insight to underpin the financial perfomance
  • Monthly 1:1s with line manager
  • Travel and time in a range of markets

  • Be proficient in another European language
  • Have a degree with business / marketing content
  • Enjoy spending time in market
  • Have FMCG experience in grocery, wholesale and informal trade
  • Have good knowledge of the soft drinks market in Europe / N. America
  • Have great PC and admin skills
  • Understand both on and off-trade
  • Understand frozen
  • Be familiar with the technical side of soft drinks production
