Excellent opportunity to join a global manufacturer of commercial cooking equipment. As one of the most well-respected names in the sector, this is a fantastic opportunity to forge a career in sales with an internationally known manufacturer. I am recruiting for an Area Sales Manager for a real market leader who manufacture cooking equipment for the catering sector.
My client is looking for a passionate candidate who has background in commercial cooking now looking to break into sales. You will need to have experience of working as a Chef, with chef qualifications and training.
The role will involve selling a premium range of cooking equipment to both end-user customers and catering equipment distributors. Your customers will come from the Foodservice sector and will include hotels, restaurants, pubs + bars, leisure sites, stadiums, education, healthcare and contract caterers.
You will be dealing with a selection of different decision makers these will include Head Chefs, business owners, purchasing departments, F+B managers, consultants, designers and distributer representatives.
To apply you must have a culinary background (this is not negotiable), ideally this is as a chef, but you must have worked in a commercial kitchen. This role involves showcasing not only the ability to cook but also to demonstrate, train and sell. Being a competent communicator as well as cook is essential. You will need the confidence to sell the features and benefits of the different products to your small audience.
This is a sales position and so will suit confident individuals with a high work ethic and a determination to get the job done. Ideally candidates will already have experience of the sales process, previous candidates have come from a food wholesale, brewery and drinks and the sale of catering and disposable supplies.
