National Account Manager – Organic Wholesaler

 Mix of Greenford and field based Mon through Fri 9-5/10-6

 £35-40,000 annually plus annual bonus opportunities against KPIs based on account growth

Wholegood is an organic wholesale business supplying independent retailers, Schools and restaurants nationally. The business was founded in 2007 and now employ around 45 people including warehouse pickers and packers, drivers and office staff. We are based in Greenford, West London. Our business is currently experiencing huge growth and we are now looking to recruit a National Account Manager to work on strategic multi-unit retail business across speciality retail and convenience.  A great opportunity for a National Account Executive who is looking to step up to full P&L responsibility. 

Responsibilities:

Develop trust and relationships with a portfolio of key account buyers to drive revenue growth and brand placements in those accounts

Introduce relevant new products based on a solid understanding of their objectives to build a deep level of trust on product recommendations

Create a contact strategy to engage all decision makers and influences in a business including store managers

As needed, act as a liaison between the retailer and the brand to organise in-store sampling or other brand activation

Plan and co-ordinate marketing and activation plans with our brands to increase sales YoY

Regularly visit the stores to optimise brand visibility and sku facings on shelf

Manage all commercial aspects of the account including pricing and overall profitability

Resolve issues or concerns raised and address internal processes as needed to find a mutually workable solution

Prepare regular reports of progress to targets and sales forecasts

Requirements:

Proven success as a key account manager or national account manager

Fruit and Veg knowledge and experience a plus

Experience managing speciality retail customers like Ocado, Planet Organic, Wholefoods, As Nature Intended

Experience implementing retail promotions

Strong communication skills with an aptitude in building relationships across all influencer levels

Previous CRM experience

Track record of smashing monthly targets

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft office

Excellent organisation skills, an ability to prioritise and work independently University degree or equivalent
