We have an exciting opportunity to work with a growing international food business, who have created a new role within the group as a result of their significant growth (both domestically and internationally) in recent years. This is a rare opportunity as the group is in the fortunate position of not having a high turnover of staff, so chances to work for them, don't come up very often. They have a great office near Ashford and are very highly regarded.

The Role:

This Group Procurement Manager role is a key role for the business. You will be working very closely with the Category Director, ensuring products are grown and bought to the specifications expected by their range of customers. You will be required to travel the world, in order to ensure your sources are the best they can be and to find new potential products and suppliers. The company will expect you to keep them informed of any major challenges coming up, so good communication is essential.

The Candidate:

Given the level of this role, they are looking for someone with experience of buying fresh produce (ideally fruit) as they need someone who can hit the ground running. As ever, an additional language would be a major plus (Spanish in particular) but this isn't essential. Negotiation and procurement go hand in hand and this role is no different.
