Store Manager, Fish + Chip Shop, Billingshurst, West Sussex, £22,000 (£25,000 OTE), Immediate Start!
Our client, an incredibly popular Fish + Chip Restaurant/Takeaway group with 30+ stores across the South of the UK, and franchises across Europe, are looking to recruit a fun, enthusiastic Store Manager to join their branch in Billingshurst.
Our client believe in the quality of their brand, and insist that every part of the customer experience is as smooth and friendly as possible - all fish/potatoes are cut/chipped every morning in store and the menu is traditional - there is no need for expansive, confusing menus, just an expectation of being the best at what they do! Due to internal movement, they are seeking an experienced Manager to join their team.
In a nutshell, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing food (cutting/cooking)
- Managing team of 10 FTE
- Ensuring the branch delivers on their promise of offering a world-class customer service
- Training Assistant Manager/Team Leader to ensure the branch is in a safe pair of hands in own absence
- Exuding a fun, friendly working atmosphere
- Handling cash and inputting all relevant data/information into company IT systems
In order to be considered for this position, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following: - Experience in handling food (chef/restaurant experience ideal!)
- Experience in managing/supervising staff
- Fun, enthusiastic approach to work
- Incredible work ethic
In addition to a very competitive basic salary, our client also offer additional bonuses based on the performance/profitability of the store, and accommodation above the branch - with just a token gesture of rent payable to the company (incredibly cheap accommodation!).
Our client are expanding at such a phenomenal rate that the opportunity to progress is very apparent - Store Managers are often being promoted into Area Management roles, etc. It is expected that you will work in excess of 50 hours per week, with the following an indication of necessary availability: - Every Thursday/Friday/Saturday evening
- Day off every Monday or Sunday (of your choosing + dependent on the nature of the store)
