Our client has been operating as an autonomous division of a global FMCG group in the UK and with freedom from political process has enabled it to operate with an entrepreneurial approach delivering innovative and new ways of working to be employed in its route to market.
The last five years have experienced rapid change within the business and industry as a whole, with investment exceeding the industry norm. This along with multiple acquisitions, has created a business that is now revered by customers across all channels and respected, even by its competition for what has been achieved in it’s branded categories.
To continue the growth that has been delivered in the UK, the business now seeks to appoint an individual of the highest calibre to the commercial team. As part of this team you will be responsible for the management and growth of new and existing branded solutions into a range of customers which could range from retail, to wholesale and pharmacy channels whilst executing and adding to the current five year business plan.
This is not a commercial role for the faint hearted as you will be exposed to commercial and strategic decisions that will shape the future of the business. To succeed, you must possess more than just commercial skills but have the subtlety to manage people, influence across stakeholder groups, and deliver category focused solutions that shape your customers thinking. Alongside this you will appreciate the balance of volume over value, as you will hold the responsibility to increase profitability for both your customers and group as a whole.
So to excel, you must possess the rigour intelligence and passion to deliver at the highest level as you will be a key player in a team where the bar is set REALLY HIGH. Winning will be a key part of your make up but so will the concept of team.
