We are currently working with a well regarded horticulture supplier who have been a large part of the industry for a number of years. They are now looking for a National Account Manager to help them grow their existing business and ensure their relationships with customers are as strong as possible. The ideal person will have a good background in retail facing account management and may be looking to diversify their customer range, as they deal with a number majority of the major retailers.

The Job:

As the Account Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of one of their key retail accounts. You will be given all the "tools" that you require to do this well and they will ensure you are supported where needed. As well as maintaining the business that has been won, you will be looking for any opportunities to improve this where possible. The category that they are in has seen steady growth in the last few years and there are still plenty of opportunities. You will also need to maintain close relationships with the broader business, to ensure the required supply is available to the customers.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have had some account management experience, potentially as an Account Executive, looking to take a step up. Either way, a background in fresh produce/horticulture is preferred and you will have dealt with retailers. Good communication skills will stand you in good stead, as there are a lot of stakeholders to liaise with. The ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks will be essential. Attitude is a key part for them.
