**We’re flexible on your location but you must live commutable DAILY TO EITHER our Plymouth Head Office OR our new factory in Leicester - there will be travel to both sites as well as part of the role remit.**

We’re positive 2018 is going to be another fantastic year for Burts Potato Chips Ltd. Building on the success of 2017 - £32 million in sales, the acquisition of Savoury & Sweet Ltd (adding 110 people to the Burts family) and a whole new range of exciting products to the Burts line-up – it’s all great news.

This is all part of our plan to become the UK’s leading privately owned premium snacking company. We continue to source the best potatoes to create amazing and best loved favourites such as Seasalt and Cheese & Onion, as well as Firecracker Lobster, Smoked Crispy Bacon and working alongside our brands partners Guinness®, Levi Roots and Hobgoblin. We’ve healthy snacking products such as Quinoa Crinkles and Lentil Waves, and with S&S we now have access to a whole new world of popcorn, nuts and other potential healthy snacks.

Never ones to rest on our laurels we now want to make an addition to head up our NPD team – and that’s where you come in as our new NPD Manager.

Your brief will be to manage our experienced team of NPD Managers (1 in Plymouth and 1 in Leicester – there will be travel between sites) and to identify opportunities for development of new products, obviously. We’re also keen to give you the responsibility for the management of a full innovation pipeline, from concept to launch. You’ll work with Sales, Marketing, Production, Technical – pretty much everyone across the Burts business including the Senior Leadership Team – we’ll even get you out in front of customers. So you need to be a bright, keen, highly personable individual who can create working relationships within a business with ease.

We like to keep things simple – so we want an activity driven, authentic individual with real drive and ambition looking to prove themselves in the role. We’ll need you to have a proven track record in new product development (NPD) including successes of ideation to execution.  Just as importantly you will be looking to join a business like ours - brand and value driven, and in a serious sustained period of growth. We’re incredibly proud of our heritage, our methods and ultimately our chips, and we want you to be to.
