Financially strong, which has led to a recent acquisition, and further investment planned, this is an exciting time to join the business along with a number of exec members and play a key role in delivering a highly ambitious but achievable growth target, whilst having a lot of fun along the way. This organisation suits a classically trained blue chip operator who is ready to make a move into a slightly smaller environment that is not constrained by process and bureaucracy, but still work with industry leaders and supported by an already successful brand.

To further develop a robust category team which can be the driving force of the business, we are looking to appoint a Grocery Category Manager to the team. Reporting to directly to the head of, this role will lead the category relationship with two key grocery customers, as well as having some input into key impulse activities too. Working closely with your customers and the internal sales and marketing teams, your role will be to provide thought leadership from a shopper and category perspective, utilising Nielsen and IRI data to create meaningful action plans to accelerate growth and develop resource to support the commercial proposition.

You will be a data focused category management professional, with classical training in a leading blue chip food/FMCG or retail business, with experience of working ideally with Nielsen data. You will be analytical in mind, but also be capable of building strong relationships with customers, and prepared to get out there and lock the relationships in. You will also be an excellent communicator, be adept at partnering closely with sales teams and other internal stakeholders and form the link between the brand plan and the commercial plan.
