The Company

Who are we? We’re Manchester Airports Group (MAG).

The UK’s largest UK-owned airport operator, made up of Manchester (MAN), East Midlands (EMA) and Stansted (STN) airports. We serve circa 50 million passengers and handle nearly 500,000 tons of cargo every year.

Where is the role based? East Midlands Airport.

The busiest pure freight cargo hub in the UK, serving 4.8 million passengers each year. Our ambition is to get to 10 million passengers and 1 million tons of cargo every year.

You can tell that we’ve got ambitious growth plans. It goes without saying that our Commercial team will play a vital role in helping us to achieve these.

Could you be the person we’re looking for?

The Role

You will work directly with our Head of Commercial to deliver against a £12m income budget target.

You will be the day-to-day point of contact for the 20+ retailers operating within our airport. Your challenge is to drive the performance and increase the income we receive from these units.

Using an analytical and innovative approach, you will ensure that our targets are achieved and we are making the most of any commercial opportunities.

You will work with MAG’s online experts to pilot new ideas and find out more about our customers. You will use this information for targeting based on customer and market trends.

This is a busy environment, where you will engage with key stakeholders to ensure that our retailers perform to the highest standard.

There will also be time pressures, but if you’re up to the challenge, there will be lots of opportunities for growth and development within this role.

Key Skills:

Analytical background – with previous experience of analysing reports in excel

Previous experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally

Previous retail background is desirable
