Job Details
A Procurement agency are seeking a professional in the early stages of their Buying/Procurement career, to taken on a development focused buyer role, with a good degree of category ownership.
The Organisation
A thriving business with turnover in the eight figures, and some of the most highly regarded purchasing professionals in their space. They promote a strong development culture, encouraging all staff to do training and further education.
The business has good transport links to Bristol, Bath and Swindon.
The Role
You will be responsible for ongoing reviews of a comprehensive supplier database, and coordinating full tender cycles. The business runs multiple tenders in tandem, requiring pricing information and stock availability details to be kept accurate at all times.
You will lead negotiation on various categories and procurement projects, benchmarking prices against competitors and the broader food market.
The Person
Coming from a food or retail background, you will be used to seasonal buying cycles and the challenges associated with commodity buying. You will be able to demonstrate strong negotiation skills, and an ability to quickly learn new categories.
Candidates will benefit from being passionate about food and food innovation.
