Group Financial Controller

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and growing fresh produce/ food business. This group of businesses have been going from strength to strength and due to a recent acquisition and continued growth, require an experienced finance professional with a background in the food/ fresh produce industry to join their successful team.   

The Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director you'll be responsible for the overall finances for the group, managing a small team of direct reports. As this is a newly created position, you'll be responsible for establishing the controls and procedures to consolidate the accounts across this group of businesses. You'll manage the month end process, budgeting, forecasting and statutory accounts.    

You'll also be involved in the more strategic elements of driving the business forward, businesses partnering with the managing director to highlight areas of profitability and potential growth.   

About you:

You'll be a commercial, qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with experience of food, fresh produce or working within an FMCG environment. You will also have experience of working with perishable goods AND have experience in acquisitions/mergers. Being driven, ambitious and commercially minded is highly advantageous for this role.
