The Advocate Group have partnered with a multibillion pound turnover FMCG business who are leaders in their field. They are looking to appoint a Channel Manager to join their global business and grow sales within the Fuel, Travel and High Street channel.
The role:
As a Channel Manager, you will be reporting directly to the VP and you will work closely with internal teams, covering the UK.  You’ll be responsible for developing powerful tools and creating plans of action to enable growth of the brand within the Impulse Retail market. It will be your responsibility to build strong relationships with partners in order to obtain the maximum possible growth from customer base; increasing market share and developing business.
Responsibilities:
  • To support the VP for OOH in defining opportunities for growth within this channel
  • Seek incremental growth opportunities to continually excel to efficient delivery of the JBP
  • To become an expert in the Impulse retail marketplace and to identify short and long term trends, opportunities and risks
  • Develop strong working relationships, deploying strong influencing skills to ensure objectives are met and exceeded
  • Build recommendations to increase the effectiveness of the brands in stores
 
The Successful Candidate:
  • Experience of trading with GB retail, across Fuel or Managed retail groups
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills
  • A passion and desire to be the best – competitive in nature
  • Flexible to travel and work occasional weekends to host events
  • Knowledge of the retailers, their operations, strategies, opportunities and risks
 
Experience
  • Trading experience in a Key Account/Channel role in Fuel/Managed retail environment
  • Working with/through/in a Distribution Partner system
  • Using objective analysis to create clear strategic channel development plans
  • Clear understanding and experience of activation of brands in retail stores
  • Field Sales Management in an FMCG business
