Supply Chain Controller | Fresh Produce | £Competitive

We are working with a very large and innovative fresh produce and fruit company based out of Kent. They are looking for some very bright, up and coming graduates or equivalent to join their team in this supply chain controller role. They believe that this is the best place to start people within their business where you can gauge a holistic view of the supply chain and how it operates before moving into other sectors after time.

The Role:

In this position you will be working with the Supply Chain Manager and responsible for an effective supply chain process throughout the business. This will see you working alongside the Buying, Customer Management and Inventory Control teams to ensure all product levels are maintained and the right products are on their way! This will all contribute to a very effective and efficient product supply chain, minimising waste in such a short shelf life good.
The intricacies of this role will see you looking at product forecast and availability in line with demand of the business utilising specific software to ensure the business is on track. You would also be supporting the Buying team in dealing with growers and coordinating a weekly programme to get out to them, making daily adjustments to suit the demand of the business.

Great attention to detail, values and ethics will help you succeed in one of the fastest paced sectors in the world. A great work ethic will endear yourself to team members and help you get to grips with the different ways the business operates.
You will be able to undertake your own analysis and present it in a way that is easily read and digested by all parts of the business, this may sometimes include presentations. This will require good levels of Microsoft Office skills, time management and organisation.
If you have experience with SAP or in the Fresh Produce industry this would be considered very desirable!
