The role as National Account Manager will be focusing on one of the largest business accounts, the Kingfisher Group. The successful candidate will drive P&L, NPD & business relationships across this key area of business & the company's largest account base.

My client are a market leader and leading manufacturer based in the West Midlands. The are an innovative provider of household items to a range of UK homes and are continually growing their market dominance with the commitment and ability to regularly increase their excellent standards, year on year.


As National Account Manager, you will be tasked with the following roles & responsibilities;
  • Act as the face of the company and main POC for the retail channel (Kingfisher Group)
  • Manager accounts and all P&L activity with a key focus on driving NPD
  • Negotiate and progress contracts for all current account activity
  • Develop JBP's to align business expectations and maintain planned growth
  • Drive new business within existing and prospective accounts
  • Flexible working - 2/3 days office based and the rest of the week based at home or with customers


The successful National Account Manager will have the following profile;
  • Educated to degree (or similar) level
  • Minimum 4 years National Account Manager experience
  • Experience working with B&Q and/or Screwfix
  • Strong retail knowledge and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record in account development and successful JBP strategy
  • Key commercial success and ability to demonstrate this with ease
  • Strong analytic sales skills
  • P&L Accountability
  • Evidence of strong internal and external stakeholder management
  • Commutable to the West Midlands on a weekly basis
