Business Unit Director

Our client is a very progressive and highly regarded fresh food supplier, with excellent relationships with a number of major multiples. We have been asked to help find an excellent General Manager/Business Unit Director for one of their businesses/divisions in the South West.
Heading up the Business Unit/Division with total day to day responsibility for the management of a committed team and the overall development of the business unit/division.
Working closely with the Group Managing Director and the Group's Senior Management as well as your own team, you will be deciding and implementing the overall strategy for your business unit.
Specific responsibility for the commercial aspects of the business and for providing a key point of contact for the retailers and suppliers alike, ensuring an essential link is maintained between the two.
The Candidate will have:
Significant experience and a proven track record of success within the FRESH FOOD/CHILLED PRODUCT sector dealing with the demanding multiple retailers and outstanding LEADERSHIP ability.
Impeccable communication skills and the ability to negotiate in a professional and inclusive way.
LED and managed a team of people and been involved in key strategic decisions within a company.
A down to earth, CAN-DO attitude and be hands on and ready to lead by example.
Been a GM or Business Unit Director before but our client is also interested in speaking to fabulous Commercial Directors/Sales Directors/Ops Directors who are ready for an MD or Business Unit Leader role.
