Are you an ambitious and hungry Account Manager with experience within the Animal Nutrition industry? Are you looking for a step up in a challenging multi billion pound environment? If the answer is yes, read on!

The company: 

With an impressive heritage, this company operates across 40 different countries with a turnover of 2 Billion Euros. This brand new vacancy has opened within the Food Ingredients & Animal Nutrition Division in order to maintain and build the sales within the UK.
 

The Role:
 
This role is predominantly focussed on developing new business but will evolve into an Account Manager role with full profit and loss responsibility of the accounts. The primary responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Defined sales strategy for the National Account designed to deliver or exceed sales targets
  • Develop deep customer understanding to be able to offer a tailored approach to your customer and to leverage this understanding to influence decisions both internally & externally

 

  • Formulate the animal nutrition strategy
  • Implement sales plans in the National Account in joint partnership with key stakeholders, with the intention to drive sales, increase brand awareness and product presence.
  • Understand all key financial metrics surrounding profit and loss responsibility for the customer, industry & the company
  • Support the development of new distributorships
  • Monitor and develop customer service, technical and product requirements

 
The Candidate:

This position will suit a candidate who is ready to progress and develop the role for the foreseeable future. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within the Animal Nutrition or Pet Industry is highly desirable
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Have a commercial understanding of profit and loss responsibility
  • Be able to effectively develop new business
  • A degree / equivalent in a scientific discipline will be highly advantageous
  • Possess the ability to liaise effectively with commercial and technical contacts from a range of large international companies
