Our client is part of the incredibly successful international organisation Hero. Acquired by Hero over 10 years ago, our client is a highly respected food manufacturer within the “free from” category. They are now looking to build their brand within the retail sector, and are therefore looking for a talented and strategic Sales and Marketing Director with a strong branded background to lead their growth and build their consumer understanding and strategic plan.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this is an exciting and extremely broad ranging role giving you considerable autonomy and scope. This individual will play the key part in creating & driving their strategy and leading the company into the future. Manufacturing and developing excellent products is second nature to this organisation – you need to be able to drive their growth through using consumer insight to develop their brand and ensure that it becomes a major player within the retail market. This is a small but determined team, who rely on honesty and strong team work to succeed. No ivory tower marketers needed here!

An excellent communicator, you will:

•    Have a track record of building strong and sustainable relationships with the UK’s major grocery retailers
•    Have a track record of delivering real results in terms of sales growth, with a strong and extensive background in FMCG
•    Be able to demonstrate a track record of building successful brands within the UK grocery retailers, and have a real shopper mentality
•    Have a blue-chip background, you will be commercially astute and have an excellent track record of delivering growth
•    Be able to demonstrate inspirational leadership qualities
•    Be a team player, you have an analytical mind yet also thrive on finding new opportunities, and have an entrepreneurial approach
•    A total commitment to the organisation’s values is essential
