Job Details

AHDB is a statutory levy organisation that equips farmers, growers and the supply chain with independent, evidence-based tools and information to grow and become more competitive and sustainable. We are ambitious for UK agriculture and horticulture and see the industry at a unique time in its history as factors are converging to present major challenges and opportunities both in the domestic and global markets.

Our farmers and growers want support in tackling these changes and maximising the opportunities and that’s where the AHDB comes in, with almost £60m worth of levy income and a talented team of over 400 staff.

The aim of AHDB’s Consumer Insight team is to work collaboratively with industry stakeholders, providing the highest quality, evidence-based consumer insights that shape sector strategy, thus optimizing levy payer competiveness.

AHDB is seeking a Retail Insight Analyst who is interested in retail trends, consumer attitudes, and behaviour within food retailing. You will have a strong aptitude for looking at market information and consumer and sales data to pick out key trends. The work delivered helps shape strategy and looks to ensure that future growth in the industry is aligned with the needs/motivations of consumers.

Role Purpose

In conjunction with the industry, the team review consumer purchase habits, monitor attitudes/behaviour and investigate further consumer and retail opportunities across AHDB sector divisions. The role provides an opportunity to work on a range of projects, often to identify key sales trends and motivations for consumption, as well as understanding the key barriers and opportunities that may exist to expand the category.

Closing date: 8th April 2018

Please note: To apply, you must be a British citizen or be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
