National Account Executive – Sports Footwear

£38,579 to £42,599 Basic plus substantial bonus package and company car + Benefits

Our client is already a leader in its niche category of tracksuits and sports apparel, however they have recently received a substantial investment from their parent company in Europe with the specific purpose of selling a new and exciting range of sports footwear ( both general sport shoes as well as sports specific footwear ). The footwear products are already well received in Europe and it is anticipated they will enjoy similar success in the UK market. Because of its unique structure, the company will be totally unaffected by Brexit !

To be considered for this exciting position you should ideally be currently selling some kind of sports related product ( either sports specific, or general sports equipment or even sports supplements and vitamins ) . It’s important that you have some kind of exposure to the sports retail channel along with a keen interest in ( any ) sport yourself, either as a participant or as a spectator / fan. Exposure to one or more of the specialist sports retail chains would be advantageous.

Our client will consider applications from either experienced National Account Executives, or from capable Territory Managers looking for their first move into National Accounts ( although you should have at least some experience and understanding of managing multi-site retail accounts ), and in return for your hard work and dedication they will provide a basic salary of between £38,579 and £42,599 plus substantial bonus package and company car ).

The role is home based however there will be a substantial amount of travel nationwide, and you will be required to be in the office ( in Birmingham ) approx. once every three weeks. There may also be occasional travel to the parent company in Germany ( possibly once each year ).
