The Role:

Redhill Recruitment Ltd are working with a leading Regional Foodservice Supplier. Our client is looking for an energetic, proactive and experienced sales professional to join the business as part of their ongoing plans for expansion. This is an immediate requirement for a target driven, outgoing and creative sales person to grow and develop the customer ledger across Watford, Uxbridge and Surrounding Areas.

The successful Area Sales Manager will be selling over 4000 food products into the foodservice sector, dealing with HORECA customers and specialist distributors. You will be developing new customers as well as looking after existing accounts, managing a well performing patch which still has potential to grow by speaking to Catering Managers, Buyers, Chefs and Business Owners. A full company induction and product training course is on offer to the new Area Sales Manager here as well as ongoing prospects to move into a senior management position.

The right candidate for this role will have a passion for food products with a strong understanding of the foodservice industry. You will be able to demonstrate creativity in menu design and understands portioning control, menu planning and financial costing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generating sales leads through prospecting for new business.
  • Increasing revenue from either acquiring new accounts or existing account spend.
  • Develop and understand individual needs and strategies to maximise sales.
  • Managing your own diary and planning client visits.
  • Work with other internal departments, such as Telesales and Logistics.
  • Submit a weekly sales report to your Regional Manager.
