A rare opportunity has arisen within the commercial team to join this unique organisation as a National Account Manager.

Job Role;

To drive and manage key customer relations, interfacing with a top retailer. The idea candidate will be a positive, engaging individual who is keen to grow business in line with key strategic plans and the company’s values, maximising every opportunity to benefit the business, allowing sales and profits to blossom

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sales and beat financial targets
  • Deliver keys business results and achieve key performance indicators relating to cost control, customer service and business growth aspirations.
  • Review processes to ensure that service always meets the expectations of our customers.
  • Proactively identify and manage the delivery of the commercial strategies and optimise the financial targets with each customer as set by the board.
  • Negotiate new business and maintain existing arrangements achieving the most favourable terms and conditions.
  • Research the market to anticipate change and keep ahead of competitors
  • Identify new opportunities, concepts, and ideas to ensure that the board is appraised of the latest innovations and business opportunities with a view to profit maximisation.
  • Develop and foster good working relationships with all other internal business functions.

Background, skills, and experience

  • A proven record of accomplishment of profitable sales success and business growth within the fresh food sector ideally covering retail customers
  • Experience of dealing with Top 4 Leading retailers is essential, ideally Tesco
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal functions and external customers
  • Understands the sector and is capable of finding ways to influence its success
  • Well organised and delivers results +with drive, enthusiasm, and commitment
