The role as Field Sales Manager will maintain, drive & grow accounts and become the face of the company across the UK. You will have the chance to develop the team and drive overall performance across the business.

Our client are a leading DIY, Outdoor & Homewares business who have a strong heritage in this market. Based in the West Midlands, they have a strong sales team based at head office and across the UK & this will give the successful Field Sales Manager the opportunities to drive the external sales team.

Description

The role as Field Sales Manager will commit to the following roles & responsibilities;
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of customers across the retail (independents & multiples) & wholesale channel
  • Develop & convert all business opportunities working closely within the UK team
  • Manage and build existing relationships to maintain consistent business opportunities
  • Work with new product development and strategically align with consumer trends
  • Drive the team both individually and as a group to ensure consistent productivity
  • Initiate growth and become an integral part of long term business plans






Profile

The successful Field Sales Manager will have the following profile criteria;
  • A Degree-level education or equivalent experience
  • Experience within Garden, DIY or Homewares sectors would be valuable
  • People Management experience
  • Diverse Account Management experience ideally within the desired sector across Retail, Independents and/or Wholesale
  • Strong communication both verbally and written
  • A tenacious attitude, dedicated to winning sales and growing a business
  • Able to use your initiative to make smart decisions independently
  • Commutable to the West Midlands
