Our client are a leading DIY, Outdoor & Homewares business who have a strong heritage in this market. Based in the West Midlands, they have a strong sales team based at head office and across the UK & this will give the successful Field Sales Manager the opportunities to drive the external sales team.
Description
The role as Field Sales Manager will commit to the following roles & responsibilities;
- Manage a diverse portfolio of customers across the retail (independents & multiples) & wholesale channel
- Develop & convert all business opportunities working closely within the UK team
- Manage and build existing relationships to maintain consistent business opportunities
- Work with new product development and strategically align with consumer trends
- Drive the team both individually and as a group to ensure consistent productivity
- Initiate growth and become an integral part of long term business plans
Profile
The successful Field Sales Manager will have the following profile criteria;
- A Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- Experience within Garden, DIY or Homewares sectors would be valuable
- People Management experience
- Diverse Account Management experience ideally within the desired sector across Retail, Independents and/or Wholesale
- Strong communication both verbally and written
- A tenacious attitude, dedicated to winning sales and growing a business
- Able to use your initiative to make smart decisions independently
- Commutable to the West Midlands
