Job Details

We are representing a market leading, fresh food business that are part of a wider international food group. They supply a number of key customers including the supermarkets and non-retail sectors. The group can offer progression, career development and the chance to play an integral part in future growth plans. It’s a fast-paced category with product innovation. The business can offer an autonomous, inclusive culture which puts people first. They still have strong family values at the heart of the business. We are seeking an Account Manager to join the team managing two key UK customers.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager working within a growing product category you will have full P&L responsibility for Ocado and Amazon. Both are viewed as important customers for the business, the online channel is a key area of growth. You will need to manage relationships with customers, procurement, technical and other functions across the business. Working closely with these retailers you will need to be strategic, innovative and commercially minded in order to grow the accounts. The role offers autonomy and the chance for this person to open up new retailers that the business is not currently trading with.

We are seeking candidates from the food industry with account management experience. It would be helpful to have worked in a fresh food or short-shelf life product category but not essential. Any experience of managing online retailers such as those listed above would also be beneficial. This is a development opportunity, so you may currently be at National Account Executive or Junior Account Management level and looking to take the next step in your career. Alternatively, you may currently be operating at a similar level, looking for a new challenge with a market leading business. This person needs to be personable, articulate and ambitious.
