About the Role
This role will focus on the impulse category where our client has seen some serious growth. You will utilise your category experience to drive profitability but also understand the sector performance and price points to increase market share. You will work closely with suppliers and the Supply Chain team to ensure maximum availability - aiming for 100%, and improving any discrepancies or supply/ordering issues. You will also liaise with the Commercial team to ensure promotions are on point and will deliver the level of business required…all-told, this is not your average category role but much bigger, more strategic and involved in various avenues of the business as a whole. A fantastic opportunity for the right person.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years category experience in fresh food, 3+ years' experience in using SAP / a similar program. You will be a dynamic, self-starter with a proven track record of delivering tangible results across category / project management. You will also have experience in utilising an ERP system to improve supply chain and availability. A second European language would be considered an asset.
5 years' category/buying experience. 3 Years SAP / equivalent. Strong negotiation skills, demonstrable experience in delivering commercial results through affective supplier management and a thorough understanding of the supply chain processes. Experience managing a large budget and sales targets.
