Category Manager – up to £55,000 plus excellent package – Northampton

 

An excellent opportunity has arisen within a leading successful home improvement client who is seeking a category manager to join their dynamic and expanding team in Northampton to join their expanding team.

 

The successful category manager must have demonstrable experience of working in a category role for a leading retailer and possess a mix of commercial and category marketing skills. In the role you will lead a small team to develop and implement the category plans that will maximise sales, margin and customer satisfaction. Working closely with procurement you will introduce new product innovation and manage the product lifecycle. Understanding customer and marketing insights you will create the commercial selling plan to deliver the targeted budget, this will include product, pricing and promotions. You may be in a buying role and enjoy the category elements more than the negotiation or you may be in a commercial marketing role and want to build on your commercial skills. It is essential that you are commercial, analytical and driven by understanding customer insights. You will thrive in a highly successful, change orientated fast paced retail environment.
