Smith Carey consultancy is currently working with a leading branded drinks business to recruit a Customer Account Manager to join their Tesco business unit team.

The Role

Our client is seeking a Customer Account Manager to join the Tesco business unit. The job role is home based but candidates should ideally live within a reasonable commutable distance to the South West of England.

The Customer Account Manager role will have direct P&L responsibility for Tesco ROI and OneStop accounts as well as driving engagement at a Tesco regional level. Your key responsibility will be to grow volume and profitability. Your focus will be on delivering distribution growth and implementing promotional, brand and shopper marketing activity across key brands in line with channel objectives.

Reports to:  Senior Customer Development Manager

The Candidate

We are looking for graduate calibre individuals with a minimum of 12  month’s sales experience gained ideally in an NAE / RAM / FSM role. Candidates will have an advantage if they have experience of a multiple account (ideally Tesco), but this is not essential.  The desire to manage your own accounts is important.

This is a hands-on role with P&L responsibility that will test your influencing and analytical skills from day one. To be successful you will need to display a confident, articulate and persuasive personality, combined with passion and a drive for success.
