Description
The successful Account Manager:
- Reporting to the Fuel Sales Manager, this key member of the sales team will be responsible for the development and management of an existing customer portfolio ensuring customer needs are serviced to the highest standards.
- Upselling and cross-selling to the existing account portfolio
- You will share the responsibility with other sales team members for the management of incoming phone calls across the southern region of their distribution area.
- Full P&L responsibility and accountability.
- The development and fostering of a team culture and ethos will be everyone's responsibility and relationships with other internal sales, external sales and key account manager colleagues will be critical.
- To work with the other members of the sales team to achieve monthly sales targets.
Profile
The successful Account Manager:
- Previous account management / sales experience
- Alternatively a graduate looking to move into an account manager role
- Hungry, ambition and desire to grow a career
- Driven and hungry for success
- Commutable to Southampton on a daily basis
- Effective communicator who pro-actively develops customer and internal relationships
- High level of desire to achieve goals /targets perform in a pressurised environment
- Keenness to learn and develop skill and core competencies is required
- Good IT skills, essential to have knowledge of Microsoft programmes including Outlook, excel, Word, and able to use Microsoft CRM systems or similar to a high degree
- Strong financial acumen and ability to analyse financial data
- Team player who is both supportive and approachable
- Full UK driving licence
