Percy Ingle is a family run bakery business with 49 shops throughout London and Essex.
We are looking to appoint a proactive, enthusiastic and experienced Marketing Executive.
As a new role to the business the successful candidate will be responsible for all marketing activity. They will develop and implement the marketing strategy in line with company objectives and budgets, and liaise closely with the Company Directors.
The role is primarily office based in our offices at Leyton, but there is an ongoing requirement to visit our retail shops to carry out market research.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and updating the website, including writing website copy, monthly reporting on website analytics
Creation of an online direct-to-consumer shop
Writing and uploading social media content, including sourcing imagery, monthly reporting on social media metrics
Answering retail enquiries via phone, email and social media
Writing and distributing press releases to consumer and trade media
Co-ordinating the design, production and distribution of marketing materials
Booking advertisements in consumer press and amending advert artwork
Organising photo shoots, responsible for all retail product photography
Conduct market research projects, including data handling
Liaison with our charity partners
Keeping up to date on market trends and influencing new product development
Filing marketing materials, data management and other admin tasks as required
Tracking costs against budget and monthly reporting about marketing activity to Company Directors
Key skill requirements:
Experience in copy writing of marketing materials and writing of social media content
Experience of liaising with external providers, including designers and photographers
Experience of working independently and within a team
IT literate in WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK
Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
Proven organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
Demonstrate a strong interest in, and enthusiasm for, baking and food, as well as commercial awareness
Flexible approach to working hours covering evening and weekends as required for marketing events
Desirable skills:
Experience of using InDesign or Photoshop
Experience of working in a food marketing environment
Relevant degree or equivalent in English, business/management, marketing or food studies
Salary is negotiable dependant on experience; benefits include a fully expensed company car, mobile telephone.
