We are working with a large fresh food business who are looking to strengthen their Commercial team with the appointment of a National Account Manager. They have experienced excellent growth across the business in the last few years, which has created an excellent opportunity for an account executive looking to step up, or an Account Manager looking for a new challenge. This is a great opportunity to be working alongside the Commercial Director and to be able to draw on their vast wealth of experience.
The Role of National Account Manager:
Working with the Senior Commercial team and acting as one of the key points of call to a number of their retail and foodservice customers.
Building strong working relationships with the Retail Buying team.
Working on sales forecasting and trending, in order to advise the business accurately.
Weekly competitor tracking and benchmarking, ensuring the company's offering is always in line.
You will ideally have some fresh food experience, but attitude is key for them. Experience of working with the major retailers is important though.
Some level of Account Management experience is important, but they are open, to a degree, on the number of years you have done.
You will have a resilient character as this can be a tough industry but you must also be able to think on your feet.
You will be fully computer literate and be able to demonstrate excellent verbal communication.
A passion to learn and better yourself will take you a long way in this role.
