National Account Manager

Watford, England, United Kingdom · Retail Sales

DESCRIPTION

The National Accounts element of the Retail Team will manage and develop the relationship between all parts of Camelot’s business and that of it’s major customers to deliver the retail strategy. It will execute Camelot’s commercial plans through these major customers to maximise Camelot’s brand and sales performance.

Why work at Camelot?

We currently turnover nearly £7billion per year - it may surprise you to know that we do this with a workforce of only c.750 people. This means that every one of us has a part to play and make a difference.

Camelot changes lives for the better - not just for the many millionaire winners we create but with the £30 million a week we raise to thousands of good cause projects across the UK.

National-lottery.co.uk is one of the UK’s top e-commerce sites - this is measured by web traffic and we have almost 9.5 million registered players. We also operate four of the UK’s biggest FMCG brands including the iconic Lotto and EuroMillions.

How you'll make a difference

You will deliver the sales revenues and profit targets for designated major multiple customers, through developing and implementing individual Retailer Business Plans and developing strategies. These retailers will represent a significant TNL turnover and/or have multiple formats.

You will manage the interface between Camelot and designated retailers and develop strong working relationships with key contacts at all levels in the retailers’ organisation. These will include cross functional departments where multiple points of contact are required.

What you'll bring to the table

We need to see proven experience of managing major multiple retailers with high direct turnover, from business plan development through to delivery of objectives. Proven understanding of retailer’s needs, business strategy and operations is key coupled with the ability to interact and manage them with ease.

You will have demonstrable knowledge of retailer’s competitors and Camelot’s competitors and proven ability to manage retailer relationships at all levels. We require proven experience of successfully building and utilising business relationships and networks internally and within customers.

Excellent presentation and negotiations skills are a must coupled with good verbal and written communication. You will be writing reports and be able to analyse financial and business performance providing insight and recommendations to customers and decision makers.

What we’ll give you

We look after our people. There’s a competitive bonus and benefits scheme, 26 days of holiday goodness and a rather generous pension scheme. Thinking about your health? No probs - we’ll give you full private medical cover and 50% off your annual gym membership. Finally, we keep it fun. We work with a smile on our faces with loads of social activities, team nights out and outdoor bonding events.

Company

We're a games business that’s fast, innovative and fun.

To get where we’re headed tomorrow, we need to do the right things today. Our Vision helps us centre our efforts around an ambitious but achievable goal: to run the world’s favourite national lottery. And we’ll do it by celebrating what we’ve been for more than two decades now and aspiring to be a games business that’s fast, innovative and fun.

That means getting serious about play and making work fun. Because we know the best way to deliver games customers love to play is by creating a place people love to work. Teaming up and making more of the nation’s favourite games. Because it’s only by bringing our diverse perspectives, skills and ideas together that we’ll continue to innovate our games portfolio and entice new customers to play ¬– in shops, online and on-the-go.

We're growing to change even more lives.

Our Ambition and strategy for long-term, responsible growth has seen total National Lottery sales grow by over 52% in the last decade. And this continued strong commercial focus is not at the expense of our Mission to change lives; it’s the engine of it. Enabling us to give £34m a week to good causes an increase of a remarkable £167m per year. And we want to keep growing.

That’s our bright future. But we won’t reach it by standing still. We need to keep moving forward as a business and growing as a team. Developing stronger player relationships by better understanding their needs; innovating in the games we offer and how people can play them; and telling the story of an iconic brand that marries playfulness with purpose. Where are we headed? It’s simple. To a future where we’ve grown together to change even more lives.
