Sales Manager (North of England)

Location: North of England

Position: Permanent, fulltime

The Company:

A new wholesale division of electrical luminaire (decorative lighting, statement, table and floor lamps), Serene Lighting has been set up in October 2017, which is of the ever growing Serene Family. The company boasts of over 12 years’ experience in wholesale of furniture with a great reputation for quality, safety and performance of all the products it supplies to its many customers. The same principles of Serene Furnishings will be applied to Serene Lighting, in order to make this a successful of division. 
The company benefits from having its own distribution centre which spans 180,000 square feet in West Bromwich, which provides a central location for us to service our customers Nationwide via its own transport facilities. This allows us to offer our customer a 7 – 10 working day delivery lead-time.

About the opportunity:

You will take lead on developing and maintaining customers in North of England, reporting directly to the Managing Director of Serene Lighting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identifying potential retailers for our Lighting products, in Retail and Commercial sectors.
  • Managing accounts on a day to day basis.
  • Developing business and extended our product range with our stockists.
  • Working to set targets in respect of:
  • Growing stockist within the territory.
  • Sales Forecast for the territory.
  • Providing input to the Purchasing Team on product trends and demands from stockists.
  • Maintaining a good rapport with Head Office staff

About you:                                  

  • Extensive professional sales experience within the lighting industry.
  • Evidence of building and developing company and client relationships that contributed to a growth in company sales and revenue.
  • Drive and resilience.
  • Strong collaboration skills along with the ability to work alone effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • The ability to hit the ground running and learn at pace.
  • Fluent in all key Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and experience in presenting information and data to a wide range of audiences.

The successful applicant

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • 5 years minimum experience in Field Sales
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prepare/deliver presentations and lead meetings
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to deliver results on time and budget to a high standard
  • Valid driving licence
